For over 30 years, Ballet Hispanico has been a symbol of pride and a model of grassroots innovation. The Company electrifies audiences with innovative original works that infuse America's rich dance tradition with the vitality of Latin culture; the School is overflowing with more than 600 of the city's children; and Primeros Pasos, our education initiative, is transforming public schools across the city and the nation with groundbreaking programs.
Our spirit has captivated millions; yet, in order for us to continue to provide these exceptional programs, we need your help. Only 40% of Ballet Hispanico's operating budget comes from earned income - ticket sales and tuition. That means 60% comes from you - through contributions and sponsorships.
There are many ways you can help. Become a donor and receive benefits including program recognition, invitations to special events, naming opportunities and even private dance lessons with a Ballet Hispanico company member! Many employers will match your contribution. Please click on Donor Benefits for more information.
You can also purchase individual tickets or a table and join us for our annual Black Slipper Ball, held at The Plaza.
While many gifts are directed toward general operating support, which is critical to sustaining operations, there are many opportunities to become more involved by providing special project support. You can underwrite a new ballet, provide a scholarship for a talented student or help us meet the challenge of securing our future by contributing to our endowment.
We are deeply grateful to all of our donors - those individuals, corporations, foundations and government agencies whose generous gifts make our work possible. We are especially pleased to acknowledge our Major Donors and sponsors and to highlight some of our recent notable gifts and grants.
