In the Community
The innovative Education & Outreach program at Ballet Hispanico pairs highly trained dancers, choreographers, and teaching artists with students, educators, dance audiences, and the general public, in the guided exploration of a diverse and inspiring series of education activities. We believe all people have a right to participate in learning experiences that respect their individuality while enhancing their creativity, physical health, and cultural awareness. We are committed to exploring the Hispanic diaspora through dance. Based on the New York City Department of Education Blueprint for Dance, the program supports student achievement in the classroom and inspires a passion for learning and discovery that will last a lifetime.
Our programs are inclusive, current, reflective, and forward thinking.
- Our goal is to contribute to community and to help deepen the base of knowledge in:
- Cultural appreciation
- Self-expression
- The artistry of dance
