Welcome to the Ballet Hispanico School of Dance.  Provided below are the Enrollment Procedures and Tuition rates associated with each level of study. We've also provided a description of Class Attire to be worn for each technique. For students in the Intensive and Professional levels, Scholarship Support is available through a competitive audition process.  Need based Scholarships are available to students in the Enrichment program.

ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES

Enrollment in the school-year programs for new students begins in August; hours are 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm, Monday-Friday. After the school year begins, students may also enroll on a Saturday, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

All students under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to complete the Registration Form. Every student will receive a Student Handbook, which must be signed by the accompanying adult. An initial tuition payment is made at the time of enrollment; enrollment is complete only when the first installment is received. An evaluation and/or a placement class is provided for students with previous dance training.

Please note: all new students must have a parent or guardian register in person.

 *A $25 registration fee is required upon student registration.*

Tuition may be paid in full at the time of enrollment.  All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Money orders, cash or checks, made payable to Ballet Hispanico, are accepted.

Payment of the monthly fee is due by the first of each month. Monthly bills are not sent.
A Late Payment Fee of $25 is charged for all payments made after the 30th of the month.
A Returned Check Fee of $30 is charged for returned checks.

Due to holiday schedules, the number of classes per month may vary.
There are no make-up classes or discounts allowed for absences.

Withdrawal from the program must be made in writing to the Registrar, otherwise monthly charges will accrue and the student will be liable for the full year's tuition.
If tuition is outstanding for 30 days, the student will not be allowed to participate in class.

ADVENTURES IN DANCE

Discovery/Creative
Females are required to wear pink short sleeved leotard and pink footless tights with bare feet
Males are required to wear a white tee shirt with black shorts and bare feet

Pasitos
Females are required to wear pink short leotard, no tights and bare feet
Boys are required to wear a white tee shirt with black shorts and bare feet

Pre-Ballet
Females are required to wear a pink short sleeved leotard with pink footless tights and pink ballet slippers
Males are required to wear a white tee shirt with black shorts, white athletic socks and black ballet slippers

Intro to Ballet
Females are required to wear a light blue long sleeved leotard with pink footed tights and pink ballet slippers
Males are required to wear a white tee shirt with black shorts, white athletic socks and black ballet slippers

Intro to Spanish
Females are required to wear a black long sleeved leotard with a red skirt and black flamenco shoes and castanets
Males are required to wear a white tee shirt with black shorts, white athletic socks and black flamenco shoes

ENRICHMENT CLASSES

Ballet
Females are required to wear black tank or long sleeved leotard with pink convertible tights and pink ballet slippers
Males are required to wear white tank leotard or white tee shirt with black convertible tights, a black dance belt and white socks & white ballet slippers

Spanish
Females are required to wear black tank or long sleeved leotard with black flamenco skirt and black flamenco shoes with castanets
Males are required to wear white tank leotard or white tee shirt with black jazz pants and white socks with black flamenco shoes and castanets

Contemporary Dance (Jazz/ Limon/ Horton)
Females are required to wear a black long sleeved or tank leotard with black footless tights (Jazz classes require jazz pants and jazz shoes)
Males are required to wear a black tank leotard with black footless tights and a dance belt

PRE-PROFESSIONAL*

Ballet
Females are required to wear pink convertiblet tights and pink ballet slippers.  Levels IV-VI will require Pointe shoes upon teacher permission.

     Level I- Lavendar leotard
     Level II- Mulberry leotard
     Level III- Hunter Green leotard
     Level IV- Royal Blue leotard
     Level V- Burgundy leotard
     Level VI- Sage Green leotard

Males of all levels are required to wear a white tank leotard or white tee shirt with black convertible tights, a black dance belt and white socks & white ballet slippers

Spanish
Females are required to wear their level-colored leotard with black flamenco skirt and black flamenco shoes with castanets
Males are required to wear white tank leotard or white tee shirt with black jazz pants and white socks with black flamenco shoes and castanets

Contemporary Dance (Jazz/ Limon/ Horton)
Females are required to wear their level-colored leotard with black footless tights (Jazz classes require jazz pants and jazz shoes)
Males are required to wear a white tank leotard or white tee shirt with black convertible tights, a black dance belt and white socks & white ballet slippers

* All Pre-Professional students are required to purchase at least one level uniform leotard
Additional leotards are permitted in same or similar color & style
All of these colors are available at Bloch on Columbus and 74th

SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT  /   BECAS

The Ballet Hispanico School of Dance offers need-based and merit scholarships to eligible students each year in the Intensive and Professional Programs. Scholarship students are expected to participate in a full program of study, which varies from three to ten classes per week, depending on the student's age and dance experience.
