Background:
Launched in the fall of 2007, the Junior Society of Ballet Hispanico includes young professionals between the ages of 21 – 35 who care about dance and Latino culture and support Ballet Hispanico’s education programs. Professions represented in this group include real estate, marketing, fashion, finance, entertainment, advertising, and more.
All proceeds from each Junior Society event benefit Ballet Hispanico’s Education & Outreach program. This innovative and exploratory learning experience for school children, teachers, and parents is held in public schools in New York City and across the country.
The Education & Outreach program touches the lives of some 20,000 New York City school children and brings the joy of Latino dance traditions to countless thousands across the country each year.
Over 600 of New York’s most influential twenty-somethings have raised close to $80,000 for Education & Outreach through Junior Society of Ballet Hispanico events.
