A Message from Eduardo Vilaro, Artistic Director & CEO,
in Response to COVID-19
Dear BH familia,
It has been a challenging and stressful time with the arrival of the Corona Virus or COVID-19. The health and welfare of our Ballet Hispánico familia has been my first priority, and I remain committed to my community's welfare.
In the interest of ensuring the safety of our community, Ballet Hispánico facilities are closed and will tentatively reopen on May 1, 2020.
The closure is a proactive measure to protect the health of our students, teachers, artists, visitors, community, and staff in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), and in accordance with the state and city’s declaration of a state of emergency.
I want to take a moment and thank the School of Dance staff and Michelle Manzanales (Director, School of Dance), for their commitment to our children. Our School community will receive more information from Michelle Manzanales throughout this time.
The Ballet Hispánico staff will continue to operate with a telecommuting plan and are available via email. We will continue to monitor recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the New York Department of Health.
To learn more about precautions that can be taken to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, please refer to this information from the CDC.
For the latest information and updates on upcoming programs, events and school registration, please continue to check our website, and follow us on social media channels: Facebook, Instagram (Company and EDU), and Twitter.
We are confident that, together, we will be able to get through this extraordinary time, and recognize that the impact on all of our daily lives is immeasurable. We appreciate your support.
Mil gracias,
Eduardo Vilaro
Artistic Director & CEO
