Richard, a Dominican, Washington Heights native and graduate of Alfred University, has always had a passion for social justice and activism. Richard started his career as a paralegal and advocate for immigration. In 2017, he transitioned into school operations. As Director of Operations for both Success Academy and KIPP NYC Charter schools, he focused on providing a world-class school experience for scholars and families within Harlem and The Bronx. During his second year in school operations, he won the inaugural Excellence Award. He later served as a mentor, coaching operational leaders across the Network around best practices. Richard holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice and sociology. For fun, he loves to host and cook for friends and family, along with traveling to enjoy a lovely beach sunset. Richard has completed over 20 half marathons and has run the New York City Marathon twice! Richard is thrilled to bring his leadership experience and talents to the Ballet Hispánico community.
