Chief Development & Marketing Officer

Lorraine A. LaHuta joined Ballet Hispánico in 2015 to lead fundraising and institutional advancement for this renowned Latino dance company and school. She is an accomplished nonprofit executive with more than 25 years of experience in fundraising, communications and grantmaking. Prior to joining Ballet Hispánico, she spent four years as Senior Vice President of Institutional Advancement at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum. Ms. LaHuta led fundraising and communications at The New York Academy of Medicine from 1998 to 2001. She began her career in grants management at Carnegie Corporation of New York, where she worked from 1988-1998. Ms. LaHuta serves on the Advisory Council of The Hastings Center. She has served as Vice Chairman of the Board of Episcopal Charities, and her contributions on the Vestry of Trinity Church Wall Street from 1987 to 2012 included serving as Clerk of the Parish, Chairman of the Tercentennial Steering Committee and member of the Grants Board. Ms. LaHuta has also served on the boards of St. Margaret’s House, Frederic Flemming House, and John Heuss House. She earned a BA and MA in Psychology from Hunter College of the City University of New York.
