1-Week Program: July 6-10
Design the summer dance training program for you! ELEVATE! Summer Dance Boot Camp is a week-long intensive for beginner to intermediate level students who want to boost their dance technique. Classes include Ballet & Pre-Pointe/Pointe, Sevillanas, Flamenco Footwork & Castanets, Modern, and Stretch & Conditioning. Students may choose to focus on single styles or sign up for the full program.

Class Descriptions & Schedule
Sevillanas| 9:30-10:30amStudents will learn various coplas of the Spanish folk dance, Sevillanas, including its history and festive tradition of Feria de Sevilla.
10:30-10:40am | Break
Flamenco Footwork & Castanets | 10:40-11:40amSpanish dance forms have been the backbone of the Ballet Hispánico School of Dance since its founding in the early 1970s. This class will give students the opportunity to focus on strengthening the execution and precision of their footwork and castanet technique for Spanish Dance.

12:20-12:30pm | Transition to Studios
Ballet | 12:30-2:00pmStudents are introduced to a ballet curriculum that enables them to develop a holistic understanding and mastery of technical skills in a disciplined yet nurturing environment. Our ballet program emphasizes clarity of line, execution and precision, dynamic movement, musicality, and artistic expression. Our curriculum draws from the internationally renowned Cuban methodology, which emphasizes plasticity and virtuosity to create proficient and powerful dancers.
Break | 2:00-2:10pm
Pre-Pointe/Pointe | 2:10-3:10pmStudents will develop their pointe technique through strengthening and conditioning exercises specifically for pointe work. The class can be taken in both flat ballet shoes and pointe shoes, and will focus on developing the students’ knowledge and execution of pre-pointe/pointe fundamentals.
Break | 3:10-3:20pm
Modern | 3:20-4:25pmClasses focus on developing core dance principles, such as balance and coordination, while exploring diverse movement concepts. The curriculum includes spinal articulation, floor work, movement dynamics, use of weight, and complex rhythms, creating students adaptable to the contemporary dance landscape.
Break | 4:25-4:30pm
Dancers will be guided through stretching and conditioning exercises that support a dancer’s flexibility, strength, and overall fitness. Information about injury prevention and tools to maintain their physical readiness in support of their dance training will be taught throughout the course.

A non-refundable registration fee of $250 must be placed in order to secure your spot in the program. Individual programs must be paid in full upon registration. The School of Dance does NOT offer refunds, only credits. Any credits received will be applied to your Ballet Hispánico account.

- Gentlemen: White or black crew neck t-shirt or tank, Black men’s tights, Black or white socks, Ballet shoe
- Ladies: Solid black leotard (no leotards with color-piping or design will be allowed), Black character/ flamenco ankle length skirt, Black character or flamenco shoes, Castanets
- Gentlemen: White or black crew neck t-shirt or tank, Black jazz pants, Black flamenco boots or hard-soled shoes, Castanets
- Ladies: Flesh tone convertible transitional tights, Solid black leotard (no leotards with color-piping or design will be allowed), Solid black leggings permitted with teacher approval (optional), Bare feet
- Gentlemen: White or black crew neck t-shirt or tank, Black jazz pants or solid black leggings, Bare feet
- Ladies: Hair neatly secured away from face, no loose hair (for all forms)

Are auditions required?
No. Auditions are not required to register for ELEVATE! Summer Dance Bootcamp.
No. Students are not required to attend the full program. They may register for tracks only as listed in the program description.
Does Ballet Hispánico offer scholarships?
Scholarships and Financial Aid
Yes. The School offers financial aid. Please inquire by emailing email@example.com.
How are students dismissed?
Our building opens at 9:00am each day. Students are welcomed to arrive at this time and get ready for class. At the end of the day, all students will be dismissed promptly at their scheduled time. Please be sure to arrive on time and communicate if you are running late. Additionally, if your child (under the age of 18) has permission to leave the premises on their own, please complete a “Permission to Leave Premises Form.” If the form is not completed, your child will not be allowed to leave the building on their own. By signing this form, you are allowing your child to leave our premises anytime during the day whether it is lunchtime or dismissal, etc.
Do students receive lockers during this week?
Yes. Students enrolled in the full program are welcome to store their belongings in our lockers rooms located on the 2nd or 8th floors. During the orientation, you will have an opportunity to choose a locker and place a lock on it. We ask that you only use combination locks, as this information will be stored in the student’s Ballet Hispánico account.
Does Ballet Hispánico have an orientation for ELEVATE!?
Yes. We offer an orientation on the first day of the program. Please view the details of orientation in you welcome email. Please fill out the survey enclosed in your welcome email.
