The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center

Ballet Hispánico works in partnership with the Jerome Robbins Dance Division of The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts to provide its community with additional resources that can enhance its dance education and inspire lifelong learning.

Founded in 1944, The Jerome Robbins Dance Division of The New York Public Library is the largest and most comprehensive archive in the world devoted to the documentation of dance. Our educational mission is to create one-of-a-kind, inquiry-based learning experiences to complement curriculum taught in a classroom or studio.

In addition to housing hundreds of thousands of books, recordings, artifacts, and other materials about all forms of dance, the Jerome Robbins Dance Division also offers weekly public programs, plus exhibitions and displays showcasing our archival materials. We also actively document the performances and practitioners of today by recording new oral histories and dance performances each year.

All visits and resources are free of charge.
