Bienvenidos Ticket Program
On April 1-3, 2022, Ballet Hispánico will be rejoining its New York audiences in-person once again with performances at New York City Center. For our return to NYC Season we are pleased to offer, for the first time, the Bienvenidos Ticket Program to provide free tickets to members of the BH community who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend a BH performance, including students, teachers, and more.
The Bienvenidos Ticket Program promotes increased access to dance through partnerships with local nonprofits and New York City schools. As Ballet Hispánico continues to open doors and change the conversation, many audience members will see themselves and their stories reflected on stage for the first time. The Company’s City Center performances will feature the world premiere of the first-ever ballet based on the life of the iconic Evita Perón by acclaimed choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa. This full-length work entitled “Doña Perón” – expected to become a signature work in the repertory – reclaims the mythic story through a Latina-told narrative.
From its inception, Ballet Hispánico has been centered in its mission as a BIPOC- and immigrant-led cultural organization to increase access to dance through community outreach, public partnership, engagement and education. Thanks to sponsored support, through this program we can continue uplifting New Yorkers of all backgrounds and breaking down barriers to the field of dance.
