Paulo Hernandez-Farella is a first-generation Salvadoran-American from Los Angeles, California. Paulo graduated from the University of Southern California’s Glorya Kaufman School of Dance as the only Trustee Scholar, and from the USC Price School of Public Policy with a Master’s in Public Administration. Paulo has been a scholarship student for a multitude of renowned schools’ such as the Juilliard School Intensive, the Joffrey Ballet’s International Intensive and Alonzo King LINES Intensive. He is one of seven 2016-2017 dance scholars with Nigel Lythgoe’s Dizzyfeet Foundation. At USC, under the direction of Jodie Gates, Paulo studied and performed the works of Forsythe, Kylián, Gates, Grimes, Balanchine, Graham, Taylor, Petipa, Rhoden, Cerrudo, Aszure Barton, and choreographed his own original work. This is Paulo’s 1st season with Ballet Hispánico.
