Diálogos: Instituto Coreográfico with Omar Román De Jesús.

September 15, 2022

Instituto Coreográfico gives a voice to young artists and opens access to the dance-making process for all audiences. Choreographer Román De Jesús (Bayamón, Puerto Rico) is devoted to education and has experience teaching workshops and master classes all over the world for dancers, non-dancers, and children on the Autism Spectrum. His great work around the world has awarded him prominent global recognition. For updates click here.

New American Fellows Showcase

September 17, 2022

Join us on Citizenship Day, September 17th, in Brooklyn, NYC for art installations, screenings, and performances for the final showcase by our first cohort of New American Fellows! The New American Fellows program awards six immigrant artists with grants to produce original artwork based off Map the Impact immigration data, sparking important conversations and active community participation. Light refreshments will be provided. The event is FREE to all but space is limited, so please RSVP here!

Diálogos: Intersectionality of LGBTQ and Latinx culture in dance and social justice.

In conjunction with The Stonewall Inn and the Ali Forney Center, members of Ballet Hispánico will be hosting a new Diálogos conversation, addressing the topic of intersectionality of LGBTQ and Latinx culture in dance and social justice. For updates click here.

A La Calle Block Party

October 2, 2022

This year’s A La Calle block party will serve as the centerpiece for the month-long celebration and will include live performances from Ballet Hispánico’s Pa'lante Scholars and students from the School of Dance, as well as free dance classes, live music, and food from local vendors. Ballet Hispánico will be inviting select Latinx dance companies from around New York City to perform as guest artists. These participants, new to the block party this year, include Flamenco Vivo, Bombazo Dance Company and Calpulli Mexican Dance Company. The Ballet Hispánico 2022 A La Calle Block Party is made possible by Con Edison of New York's Arts Al Fresco series.

Latin Social Dance Class
