A unique, holistic program, which shapes hirable, competitive dancers who are ready to advance their careers.
Dancers will have the opportunity to work with the company dancers and guest artists.

REGISTRATION & TUITION
Participants may register for one week or the full two weeks. If only signing up for one week, participant must register for the first week of the program.

The Early Bird Discount Tuition has been extended through the entire registration period to support artists wishing to attend during this challenging time. Participants needing additional support are highly encouraged to apply for a financial aid scholarship and ask about payment plan options. A non-refundable registration fee of $350 must be placed in order to secure your spot in the program. The School of Dance does NOT offer refunds, only credits. Any credits received will be applied to your Ballet Hispánico account.
All students who audition for ChoreoLaB will be considered for a Merit Scholarship, which includes the prestigious Nuestro Futuro Scholarship. Students will be notified of any Merit Scholarship award in their acceptance letter. To learn more about the Nuestro Futuro Scholarship Program, click here. Merit based scholarships are awarded by School leadership.
Financial Aid Scholarships are also available to those who qualify. Financial Aid Scholarship applications are part of the program registration form that will be provided to you upon acceptance.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Please allow two weeks for processing.

How do I audition for
When are the auditions?

What should I bring to the audition?
Students should arrive 30 minutes prior to the audition with completed audition forms, and their appropriate program’s checklist materials.The live audition fee is $20 for preregistration. The audition will consist of a ballet, contemporary, and repertory sections. Dancers are encouraged to wear form fitting dance attire, and bring appropriate footwear. Pointe shoes are optional. How can I prepare for New York City auditions?
Auditions at Ballet Hispánico will be composed of three parts: ballet, contemporary, and repertory. Students can expect to begin the audition with a streamlined ballet barre, centre, and pointe work (only if experienced.) The ballet portion will be followed by a contemporary section with improvisation, and will finish with an exploration of repertory.
How can I prepare for national auditions?
Students can expect an audition similar to above. National auditions will be conducted in a master class format that features contemporary dance and Ballet Hispánico repertory.
When will I be notified if I am accepted into the ChoreoLaB?
Students will be notified via e-mail of acceptance into the ChoreoLaB two to three weeks following the audition.
What if I can’t make the NYC or national auditions?
Students unable to attend the NYC or any national auditions may submit a video audition on or by May 8, 2020. All criteria for the video submission can be found here.
SCHOLARSHIPS AND FINANCIAL AID
How do I apply for scholarship?
Upon acceptance into the ChoreoLaB, all students can apply for scholarships. The scholarship application form is part of the registration form. Notification of scholarship awards will be sent via e-mail two weeks after submission. For questions about scholarships and financial aid, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Is housing provided for ChoreoLaB?
ChoreoLaB 2020 is virtual. You can participate from anywhere in the world!
Is my spot in ChoreoLaB guaranteed if I am accepted?
Students will need to register and make a deposit to secure their place in ChoreoLaB. Full deposit of $350.00 is required to register.
When can I register?
Students can register as soon as they are accepted into the program. Students will receive a registration form along with their acceptance e-mail.
If accepted into ChoreoLaB, do I need to attend the full two weeks?
Students may sign up for one or two weeks of the program. If only participating in one-week, students must register for the first week.
How are students placed in levels?
Primary placement is completed at auditions. Placement is subject to change at the discretion of the School Director.
What is the last day to make payments toward tuition?
The final day to make tuition payments is Monday, June 8, 2020. If you have questions or concerns regarding payments, please feel free to contact the School at email@example.com or 212-362-6710, ext. 72 to make financial arrangements.
When and where will orientation take place?
Orientation will be held on the first day of classes at Ballet Hispánico. Details will be provided in welcome e-mails before the start of each program.
What is your dress code policy?
Dancers should use their professional discretion in regards to attire for this program.
Please note: Ballet or Pointe Shoes recommended for Company Ballet Classes.
Do all students get to perform in the ChoreoLaB showing at the end of the program?
For those participating in the full two-weeks, you will have the opportunity to have your work showcased on Ballet Hispánico's social platforms in a final showing.
