Amy Pastrana is a first generation Ecuadorian-American born and raised in New Jersey. She has a deep passion for performing arts education and non profit organizations dedicated to helping nurture all communities. With a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Dance and Arts Administration from Drew University and a Master of Arts in Media Studies with a Certificate in Media Management from The New School, Amy has developed a love for digital marketing, arts administration, project managing, content creation, and branded, web design for performing arts, small start-ups, and educational organizations. In addition to having been the Marketing Manager and Digital Media Editor, and now creative consultant to the online platform, Verge of Verse, she has fulfilled production roles such as playwright, actor, stage manager, light designer, script supervisor, and director. Upon furthering her studies in London, England, Amy has worked amongst the NJ and NYC area with Writers Theatre of NJ, the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, Cherry Lane Theatre, Morado Lens Podcast, The English Language Studies Department at The New School, New Latin Wave, Union County Afterschool Center of Music, and a few indie, film production companies. Amy is delighted to cater her Latina roots and culture with the empowerment of dance and art at Ballet Hispánico. Her experiences help foster an already tight knit community and is dedicated to bringing more accessibility and engaging content to the School of Dance as the Administrative & Marketing Associate.
