Cennellis Baron, a native of NYC, began her dance training at the age of 15 after joining her high school's dance team. After training at the Ailey School and Peridance Capezio Center for a few years, she went on to receive her BA in Dance at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, where she had the opportunity to learn from inspiring teachers and artists. Since graduating last year, she has been freelancing and has worked at The Beacon School and Leaders High School as a teaching artist. Though she is predominantly trained in Hip Hop and Modern, she also teaches Contemporary and Street jazz classes and enjoys practicing other dance styles. She is currently a part of the Dancewave Team, and is working with mentor Kim Elliott in Kim Elliott Dance as a dancer and teacher for virtual dance classes. She is very excited to join Ballet Hispánico this fall semester as a new faculty member.
