JoiLynn professionally trained at the Duke Ellington School of the Arts, Boston Conservatory, The Ailey School , and studied Haitian folkloric and Hip Hop styles in the underground scene of NYC. After mostly stage/concert dance work, she went on to perform on major shows and stages such as Ellen , Regis and Kelly, The Letterman Show, Good Morning America, Jimmy Kimmel , Saturday Night Live, Coachella, The Apollo, Juno Awards, and in the developmental broadway show casts of “Holler if You Hear Me” and “Journey to the West” based on the work of Tupac Shakur and the life of Bruce Lee. She was also a part of the off Broadway show “Seeing You” choreographed by Ryan Heffington, and music videos for Jay-Z, Laura Pausini, and Kiesza while touring throughout the world. She is also Master Faculty at the Joffrey Ballet School, a junior division instructor at The Ailey School , a competition judge, and a singer/songwriter. As a choreographer, she creates innovative dance based projects and film through her company JoiLynn Productions which has presented at the American Dance Guild Awards, Harlem Stage, African Fashion week in NYC, DC Fringe Festival, for recording artists Sofi Green and Wunmi, and playwright Young Jean Lee.
