Pianist

Nataliya Frolova is a graduate of the St. Petersburg Conservatory where she received her Master’s Degree in 1984 and Ph.D. Diploma in Piano Performance 1988. She was invited by Maestro Valery Gergiev to work as a Ballet Accompanist and Vocal Coach at the Mariinsky Theater, where she worked from 1990 until 1997. She played at piano rehearsals for opera and ballet repertoire. At the same time, she was working as a guest accompanist at the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, assisting Mstislav Rostropovich, Yuri Temirkanov, and Mariss Jansons. Since 1997 she lives in the United States. She worked in the Colorado Ballet in Denver under the artistic direction of Martin Freeman from 1997 until 1998. From 1998, she resides in New York City, working in all the major Ballet companies as a Ballet Accompanist - playing Ballet classes and rehearsals. These companies include American Ballet Theater, Eliot Feld Ballet Company & The Ballet Tech Foundation, The Juilliard School, Ballet Hispánico, Steps on Broadway, and Alvin Ailey, among others. Her ballet class repertoire includes a large variety of music in different styles, from baroque to modern pieces.
