
Ruddy Farias

Ruddy A. Frias (Bronx, New York) began his early dance training at Bronx Dance Academy Middle School 308 under the direction of his first dance teacher and life advisor Sarah Sandford. At age 15 Ruddy met his mentor Fredrick Earl Mosley who introduced Ruddy to the professional life as a dancer and choreographer. After high school Ruddy received some of his pre-professional training at New World School Of The Arts (Miami, Florida). He later continued his studies and training at Montclair State University (Montclair, New Jersey) where he earned his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Dance Performance May, 2018. At MSU Ruddy had the opportunity to perform works by Camille A Brown, Larry Keigwin, Maxine Steinman and performed in the musical West Side Story. Upon graduating from MSU he continued his training at The Ailey School on scholarship. During his time at The Ailey School Ruddy performed Ron K Brown’s Four Corners and performed excerpts of Alvin Ailey’s Revelations, Night Creature and a solo titled Reflection In D. Ruddy was certified in the Lester Horton technique and also was commissioned to set his choreography at Earl Mosley Institute of the Arts, Manhattan Youth Ballet, and Brooklyn HighSchool of the arts. Ruddy also danced for Deeply Rooted Dance Theater and had the pleasure of performing works by Gula Matari by Kevin Iega Jeff and Episodes by Ulysses Dove. Most recently Ruddy performed at the Park Armory In Rashaad Newsome Assembly where he was able to showcase his long years of training In voguing. Ruddy is excited to be dancing with Ballet Hispanico second company.
