Ava Trochiano

ChoreoLaB Student

Ava Trochiano is from New Jersey where she began her dance training at The Academy of Dance Arts. Her training also included at the American Ballet Theatre, Gelsey Kirkland Academy of Classical Ballet, The Juilliard School, and Ballet Hispánico on a full scholarship. She is currently a student at the Ailey/Fordham BFA program. Ava has several distinctions at the Youth of American Grand Prix competitions being awarded first and third place in contemporary advancing onto the finals in New York City. Ava has recently been selected to perform in the Ailey Spirit Gala at Lincoln Center and danced in Robert Battle's piece "Awakening" under the direction of Elisa Clark. Performance credits also include The Nutcracker, dancing the principal roles of Sugar Plum and Dew Drop, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, The Wizard of Oz, Cinderlla, and The Sleeping Beauty. Ava has been fortunate enough to work with choreogrpahers Yin Yue, Amy Hall Garner, and Peter Leung of Dutch National Ballet, and performed with Elizabeth White Creative dancing the lead role of Persephone in the multimedia dance theatre production. Ava was recently in a Vevo music video for the Sharpe Family Singers for their new Christmas album and performed in the Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day parade.
