My name is Mikaela White and I am a Dance Major at Cincinnati’s School for Creative and Performing Arts, SCPA. I began dancing at the age of 8 and it quickly became my passion. I am going into my 5th year as a dance major and proud member of SCPA’s Dance Ensemble. I love being on stage, especially in our school’s productions, such as the Fall Repertoire, Spring Fest, and Senior Choreography and have been honored to perform many roles, including the Nutcracker’s Snow Queen. Besides dancing at SCPA, I also dance at Just Off Broadway Dance Studioas a Convention Team Member. I study ballet, modern, jazz, musical theater, ballroom and contemporary. I enjoy competing at dance competitions and conventions, where I have won numerous awards and scholarships to include the Pro-Reveler Scholarship with Revel Dance Convention where I have assisted some of the leading artists in the industry. Academically, I am a member of the National Honors Society and Dean’s List recipient at Chatfield College where I take academic classes through the State of Ohio’s College Credit Plus Program. I plan on continuing my dance instruction into college and pursue a career professionally.
