Ballet Hispanico and the Apollo present:

Performances for Young People

Thursday, November 19
Two 45-minute performances
10:15-11:00am & 11:45am-12:30pm

Ballet Hispanico's Performances for Young People (PYP) are engaging 50-minute productions that lead students on a guided exploration of Latin American dance forms and music.

Ballet Hispanico, celebrating 45 years as the nation’s premier Latino dance company, returns to the Apollo stage to delight students with a guided journey through Latin American dance forms and music. Our interactive fun-filled exploration is performed by BHdos, Ballet Hispanico’s second company, and features Latin music such as the conga, rumba, mambo, and cha-cha. Students are exposed to world-class choreographers and cultures of Spain, Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Americas, while learning about famous Latino icons such as Celia Cruz and Tito Puente. Our Performances for Young People program is sure to have everyone dancing all the way home!
