
Daryn Diaz
Apprentice
Daryn Diaz was born and raised in Tampa, Florida of Cuban and Spanish descent. She began training at an early age with the Patel Conservatory earning admission into their prestigious pre-professional ballet program, Next Generation Ballet. Daryn received additional training from: Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Victor Ullate in Madrid, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ballet Hispánico’s ChoreoLab, and Gaga Homelab NYC. She moved to New York at 17 joining Ballet Hispánico’s second company, BHdos, in 2019 and completed the Pa’lante Scholars Program as part of the inaugural cohort in 2021-2023, all under the direction of Rodney Hamilton. Whilst training, she joined as a faculty member with Ballet Hispánico's School of Dance and Community Arts Partnerships program. She has performed works by George Balanchine, Eduardo Vilaro, Michelle Manzanales, Pedro Ruiz, Christopher Huggins, Duncan Cooper, Norbert de la Cruz, and Maria Konrad. Daryn is currently working towards her BA in Marketing Analytics at New York University. This is Daryn's first season with Ballet Hispánico.
