Associate School Director

Cecilia L. Cáceres-Ntiamoah is a Ballet Hispánico School of Dance alumnus who also trained at The Ailey School. A graduate of LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, she continued her studies in Dance Education and Psychology at Marymount Manhattan College, while becoming a member of the Soldiers of Hip-Hop Dance Team. The study of ballet, modern, hip-hop, Latin dance, jazz, ballroom dance, tap, flamenco, repertory, contemporary, and West African dance forms inspires her teaching today, where she approaches her classes and leadership through a diverse and holistic lens. Along with her dance background, her pedagogy also centers dance history and social dance culture. A dance educator for over 20 years, she is a long-standing Ballet Hispánico faculty member, has taught at Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club and Urban Assembly for Applied Math & Science, and served as the Assistant to the Dance Chairperson in the Dance Department of LaGuardia High School for 17 years. She received her certification in Teaching for Students with Special Needs through the Dance Education Laboratory, 92nd Street Y, led by Dr. Diane Duggan, and continues honing her craft through Ballet Hispánico’s annual Professional Development for Dance Teachers course. Cecilia has been featured in Dance Spirit Magazine, performed and toured with the Ballet Hispánico Junior Company, and has appeared on several television shows including Good Morning America and Sesame Street. Serving as the Ballet Hispánico Associate School Director is a full circle moment for Cecilia, giving back to the organization where she first trained and to the communities that have shaped her as an artist, educator, and administrator.
