Doreen was born & raised in Brooklyn, NY. She is a graduate of LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts, majoring in dance. She performed with Jacques d'Amboise, Jennifer Muller/The Works, and Tomasian Entertainment. Although Doreen graduated from John Jay College with a BA in Forensic Psychology, she continued teaching dance and taking classes. Doreen has worked for several non-profit dance companies for almost 20 years. She began as a teaching assistant and worked her way up to Program Director for an Out-of-School Time (OST) after school program in Brooklyn funded by DYCD. In 2013, Doreen received a Masters in Public Administration from Baruch College. Doreen is ecstatic to be a part of Ballet Hispánico’s School of Dance.
